The 2012 Trans-Territorial Canoe Expedition is a bold, 2600 mile canoe journey through the remote wilderness of Canada's Territories. Consisting of four members, the expedition is the first to undertake this route. The crew hopes the trip will promote awareness of the role responsible recreation can play in conserving Canadian rivers and perhaps those through out the world. Keeping these
river systems and expedition routes navigable and pristine should appeal to
outdoor professionals, weekend warriors, and living room admirers alike
As of May 4th, 2012, the four man crew will have boarded the ferry in Bellingham Washington on route to Skagway Alaska. On May 8th we will begin to hike through the historic Chilkoot Mountain Pass. We are on our way to the Bay! Follow the adventure by checking in with the blog we will be updating with Canoe & Kayak Magazine and by checking our route map that will be updated daily. In the meantime we hope you take time to explore this web site where you can find more information about our route, our mission and how you can help support, as well as watch videos and read articles about previous expeditions. |
